Amen Iseghohi was born in Belgium to his parents Amen Iseghohi Snr. and Josephine, both of whom are of African decent. His parents knew that gaining a deeper understanding of his heritage by experiencing his culture and traditions firsthand would be life changing. When Amen was eight years old his parents moved him to west Africa to live with his grandmother. It was at this place, in the western region of Africa that Amen's grandmother taught him the importance of living a balanced Lifestyle.
He remembers the lessons his grandmother taught him as if it was yesterday. She used to say "There's more to fitness than being physically fit. You must also be Mentally, emotionally and spiritually Fit!"
Inspired by his grandmother, in 2008 Amen created the Amenzone Fitness movement, that later became a Franchise with presence in the United States, Canada, and Africa. It has now evolved with a particular focus on becoming a lifestyle movement called T.H.I.S, the acronym for True Healthcare Is Selfcare; based on the values his grandmother had instilled in him.
Amen recently launched his vision of THIS. Again taking the wellness industry head on, by launching a unique venture that focuses on the importance of a truly fit life, based on the notion that to be truly balanced, we must be Fit at these Five disciplines; Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, Spiritual & social.
THIS by Amen is a back-to-basics training zone tailored for athletically minded people. Our style of training promotes a natural workout that uses clean tires and one’s own body strength and movement to stay fit. More energy, a positive outlook, and obvious physical results are all outcomes of such training.
The overcrowded gym filled with weights and machines is no longer a preferred routine Replaced by a natural and fundamental approach that matches movement with intention, primal training boasts unparalleled results.
Each workout is methodical, but also creative. Regardless of age, previous activity level and ability, primal training at THIS by Amen will help you achieve your fitness goals. Why? Primal training is based on the body’s natural way of moving, your personal skill level and sheer determination.
At THIS by Amen, training is a spiritual practice that is deep and profound in its reach. We choose to use natural “primal” training as a vehicle for self-inquisition where every workout is a journey that exposes who we are at the very core.
There are no mistakes: imperfection in perfect!
The physical activities of our ancestors are why are alive today. Our bodies are designed to move – get moving!
